In this role your responsibility would be:
- The main point of contact for the organisation on procurement queries.
- Supports budget holders and other HCPC employees with their procurement activities, including planning, tendering, and using government framework agreements, liaising with suppliers/potential suppliers as required.
- Responding to employees’ queries on procurement policy or procedures.
- Getting goods and services for the best price and value
- Cutting any waste and unnecessary costs to create a streamlined process and fast production times
- Working with suppliers to ensure that key processes are running efficiently and cost-effectively
- Building strong working relationships both internally and with key suppliers
- Contract management and negotiation
- Understanding and keeping up with new trends and regulations in the business
- Investigate receipting/invoice queries
- Liaise with requesters / departmental contacts to ensure timely resolution of queries
You ideally have:
- Min. 5 years’ experience in procurement
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting
- Strong negotiation and communications skills
- Strong computer skills (Ms Excel and Word)
- Strong forecasting and planning skills
- Well organized and detail-oriented
